I've always liked the look of calibras. i agree the proportions work well but removing the roof can't be totally wise.
Is a monocoque when you've only got one dick?!

I suppose he's trying to achieve the best of both worlds; a roadster for summer, with a hardtop for winter.
Of course, what he'll end up with is just a heavier Calibra.

With the amount of time he'll spend fabricating a hardtop he'd be better off getting a paper round and buying a second calibra at the end of his first month on the job.

Good point - you've got to really like Calibras to want to do this, instead of buying a legitimate coupe-based convertible (say a E36 3-series); and who 'really likes' Calibras? Are there such people?

That Calibra doesn't look too bad for something that's had its roof lopped off! But then again I'm a sucker for Cabriolets! 
Pointless conversion to make it a hardtop roadster - why bother?
